Guidelines
This accessibility statement applies to accessibility.newgraphic.ie.
New Graphic uses the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1 level AA as our benchmark for minimum conformance level. As we develop new pages and functionality, the principles of accessible design and development are an integral part of our practice.
Preparation of this accessibility statement
This statement was prepared and last updated on 4 January 2023.
This statement prepared internally via a method of self assessment. In order to test the site we used a combination of automatic and manual testing. All pages on the website site were scanned with Axe DevTools and Sa11y on Google Chrome. Manual testing was conducting using keyboard only navigation techniques, the VoiceOver screenreader on MacOS and iOS and colour contrast analysers.

Summary of Accessibility Features
Below is a summary of some of the accessibility features on the site:
- All images and other non-text elements have alternative text associated with them.
- Navigational aids are provided on all pages. Skip navigation links have been incorporated to facilitate keyboard navigation and to bypass groups of links on a page and jump directly to main content. A back to top button is included on all pages.
- Descriptive link text is used to make link text more meaningful and additional labels are used to indicate if the link opens a new browser window.
- Structural markup to indicate headings and lists has been provided to aid in page comprehension.
- All interactive elements contain keyboard focus states and proper tab order structure. We have included an ‘On this page’ anchor menu so users can quickly scan and find out page content.
